DANCE ME TO DEATH

Dance Me To Death, the short film, is part of the DMTD project which included a performance by nine Over-60s non-professional dancers in Kensal Green Cemetery and a series of portraits by Theo Gould. The film is created specially for camera, directed by Marlon Rouse Tavares and cinematography by Pablo Rojo and takes place in the cemetery but is distinct from the performance in that it uses different locations. The choreography for both the performance and this film was created by Rhys Dennis and Waddah Sinada of FUBUNATION. The idea behind the project was to lean into death and dying in a personal way as well as honour their dead loved ones. The film gives another perspective on this concept.
